The Yuba Monkey Bars are specially designed for transporting children. The inner bars are used for holding on, while the outer bars provide additional all-round protection. The monkey bars are also length-adjustable and therefore fit any Yuba longtail, regardless of the length of the luggage rack. Once the monkey bars are screwed on, you can quickly remove or attach them again using a simple locking system.
Child seat compatible
Just because you've attached the monkey bars doesn't mean you have to go without a Yepp child seat. The monkey bars can also be attached around the Yepp seat – it might creak a bit, but it works. This is especially useful if you want to place a larger passenger in front of the child seat. However, two child seats and monkey bars only fit on the Mundo.
No ring? No problem!
The monkey bars and the retaining rings use the same screw hole on the front and rear of the luggage rack. This means that both won't fit at the same time. A ring in the middle works, as a sort of divider. However, you'll have to do without seat cushions on the Kombi and Curry, and use "mini soft spots" on the Mundo instead. Mini handlebars and monkey bars don't work together either. With the new Crest, you won't have any of these ring problems.
